Rhode Island maintains two local CAR Societies representing the northern and southern parts of the state.  Children from both societies participate in activities together due to our state’s small size- just 48 miles north to south and 37 miles east to west.  Our societies are called Governor William Bradford for the north and Col. Samuel Ward for the south.  Each society relies on the support of their local DAR chapter for its activities.
